Research and Development

The research and development unit of Iran Antibiotics Company is active in the following areas with the aim of optimizing products and increasing the qualitative and quantitative efficiency of products and supplying new products in the country's pharmaceutical industry in order to improve the level of public health:
1- Process Chemistry: Optimizing processes in order to improve the quality of current products, replacing old processes with new methods, reducing production waste and finding smart solutions to reduce production costs, as well as evaluating the sources of raw materials in the company's current products
2- Product development: market studies and research, selection of new products and synthesis of new products by chemical and enzymatic methods.
3- Process engineering: increasing the scale of the processes and transferring the technical knowledge obtained in the above two sections to the industrial scale.
The semi-industrial pilot of the research and development unit with four 250 and 300 liter steel and glass line reactors with all the necessary facilities, including cooling and heating facilities, pressure filters, centrifuges, dryers for scale up products and reproducibility testing and solving possible industrial problems for Medicines that are going to be produced in the scale of several hundred kilograms, are active in the company. This department is also equipped with a clean room in accordance with the requirements of the PIC/S day, where LVHV oral medicines are produced in a scale of several 10 kilograms, which have high added value.
